Rooms range from modest, comfortable dorms to luxurious suites to modest dorms and cover all budgets and preferences.

Our aim is that our guests will come to stay, relax and learn from their experience. We want them to put down their devices and open their eyes and hearts to the way of Thai life in days gone by. Each room offers a unique experience of education, culture memorable experiences and relaxation.

The stunning Maskati room celebrates the historic connection between India and Siam. The design of the room is a fusion from both countries, heavily influenced by the block-printed fabric imported by India’s most famous trader in Thailand, Abdul Tyeb Maskati.

Te Horjia tea room

Living space: 40 sqm.

A must for all tea lovers, this beautiful, tranquil room is inspired by real-life events which resulted in the introduction of some of China’s finest tea to Siam. The design of this unique room blends traditional Chinese features with that of Traditional Thai and Western ideas and is like no other in Bangkok.

Sri Rajchasongkram room

Living space: 44 sqm.

Discover parts of Thai history that you otherwise may never have known while you relax in this grand double room. Inspired by the life of an historic Duke, Sri Rajchasongkram, the room will transport you back in time to days when popular music was just being introduced and luxury was only available to the privileged few.

Siamkammajon room

Living space: 20 sqm.

Our inspiration for the theme of this room comes from the very first branch of Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) in Noi Market. It is still in operations today and despite no longer housing the bank’s headquarters, it is a very historic and impressive building.

Opium room

Living space: 15 sqm.

Opium was first introduced to Siam by Chinese traders who sneaked it in to the country by boat. The drug sparks the interest of many visitors to Thailand with opium houses becoming popular tourist destinations.

Yod Old Market room

Living space: 20 sqm.

Yod Market was once the centre of cultural diversity – a melting pot of nationalities and religions came together to buy, sell, eat and socialize. It lay at the heart of Banlamphu district and featured some of the most famous traders selling clothes, jewelry, table-wear, street food and Thai desserts.

The Photography room

Living space: 20 sqm.

Photos capture memories and this special guest room captures memories throughout the ages. The theme of the room’s design is based on a colonial house and features a range of historic photographs by famous photographers. The photos are of important places, events and general life in Siam during the reigns of King Rama IV and V.

Floating house (Kuti Chine) room

Living space: 20 sqm.

Traditionally, the Siamese way of life was inextricably linked to the river. The waterway was used for transportation and general day-to-day living. The Chinese community, known as Kuti Chine, lived along Chaophaya River opposite the grand palace.

Chinese opera (Lao Gia Hua Group)

Living space: 15 sqm.

Chinese opera was most popular during the reign of King Rama V. These performances told stories about history, culture and beliefs and were shown in theatres in the Yaowarat area (Bangkok’s Chinatown). They were very popular with locals and aristocracy; in fact, some royals even had their own theatres hosting private opera performances.

Khon room

Living space: 20 sqm.

Khon is a Thai traditional dance combining many art forms. It has been performed for centuries and dates back to the 16th century (during the Ayutthaya period) in Thai history. It is traditionally performed only in the royal court by men in masks and the plays often depicted epic battle scenes that became famous throughout the world.

Namprung room

Living space: 20 sqm.

Namprung is a scented water that is used for Thai incense. It’s made from many different kinds of flowers and fresh rain water, then is baked with frankincense before adding traditional Thai herbs. It has been popular in Thailand since it was introduced by royalty at the end of King Rama IV’s reign

Mario room

Inspired by the work of Italian architect Mario Tamagno, this single room boasts a fresh, clean and modern design with a historic twist. Mario Tamagno was an important and popular architect in Siam during the early part of the 20th century and designed what is now known as Government House.
